Healthy Pregnancy Plan

If you are planning a pregnancy or you are struggling to enjoy your pregnancy, this can cause stress, low mood, depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions. It's normal to feel this way at some point during this difficult life transition. However, research has found that not treating mental health issues in pregnancy increases the likelihood of further problems in the postnatal period. As a specialist Health Psychologist, I have the expertise and experience to work with you and support you to maintain a balanced perspective, enabling you to enjoy your pregnancy and joyfully anticipate the arrival of your baby. 

Our Healthy Pregnancy Plan integrates evidence-based therapy strategies with science-backed behaviour-change interventions and psychoeducation, to promote knowledge and understanding, develop the skills needed for sustainable health behaviour change , and reclaim control of your body and mind.

The plan is a monthly subscription which you can use for part or all of your pregnancy. It involves monthly online meetings as well as support and communication via email, text messaging, and Whatsapp. At each online meeting you will be provided with information and you will learn evidence-based strategies,  your progress will be reviewed and any problems addressed, as well as setting out a plan for the next month. Birth Preparation Plan

Are you feeling stressed or anxious due to concerns about the birth? This is normal and not uncommon. It's more likely if you have experienced a previous difficult birth or if you have a mental health condition such as anxiety or panic disorder, for instance. Our birth preparation plan can teach you evidence-based therapy strategies that will ground you and induce a sense of calm. psychoeducation will provide an understanding of how your mind and body interact during labour.  You will learn evidence-based therapy strategies from third wave CBT as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. You will reclaim a sense of control and feel empowered to participate actively in the birth experience.

The Birth Preparation Plan includes online meetings as well as communication and support via email, Whatsapp and text messages.At each online meeting you will be provided with information and you will learn evidence-based strategies,  your progress will be reviewed and any problems addressed, as well as setting out a plan for the next meeting.
